Admission

   Application deadlines can be found on line at Admissions under the application process for your specific admission status: freshman, transfer, international, or graduate.
April 2014    
Enrollment   To be announced. For specific enrollment times, go to the Enrollment Schedule on line.
Financial aid applications   Information is available from the Costs and Financial Aid area of the UH website.
Payment and Refund Deadlines   Timing is critical to University payment and refund processes. Please review the information on line at: Student Financial Services.
Graduation Application Deadlines   Regular filing period (non-refundable $25.00 fee): To be announced.

Late filing period (non-refundable $50.00 fee): To be announced.

NOTE:
Dates for the events listed to the right vary by College. Please check with your College as early as possible.		  
  1. Master’s / Doctoral Deadlines
    • submitting final draft of master’s thesis or dissertation to the committee
    • submitting signed original and two copies of approved master’s thesis or dissertation for binding
    • ordering caps and gowns
  2. Commencement / Convocation
    Please see the current UH Commencement Schedule. Information for some Colleges may also be found by searching the UH Events Calendar using “commencement”..

Memorial Day Holiday.
June 2014 2 Monday
First day of classes.
In general, during Summer Session 1, 2014, classes meet either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
  3 Tuesday
Last day to add a class.
  5 Thursday
ORD - Official Reporting Day
(12th/4th class day).

Last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a grade.

Last day to drop a course without hours counting towards the Enrollment Cap for Texas Residents.
NOTE: Tuition is higher for hours in excess of the cap.
July 2014 4 Monday
Independence Day holiday.
  23 Wednesday
Last day to drop a course or withdraw with a ‘W’.
August 2014 12 Tuesday
Last day of class.
  13-15 Wednesday - Friday
Final examination period.
