PHYS 8341 - Advanced Methods of Structural Analysis Credit Hours: 3.0 (Lecture Contact Hours:3; Lab Contact Hours:0) Prerequisite: PHYS 7341 and completion of the requirements for candidacy for the Ph.D. in physics, or consent of instructor. The use of X-ray and neutron scattering techniques as applied to the study of the structure of disordered phases, defects and phase transitions. The evaluation of research results with the aid of examples taken from the current scientific literature. May be repeated for credit.
