The online Certificate in Borders, Trade, and Transport Security will offer a customized educational opportunity to students interested in developing professional competencies to work in homeland security and border management agencies as well as the private sector. The students will learn concepts, methods, technology applications, and best practices in border operations, tariff classification, free trade agreements, and transportation law and border regulations.

Course Requirements
To obtain the Certificate in Borders, Trade, and Transport Security, students will complete the following 12 hours: Additional Information
The four‐course certificate will be delivered completely online. The instructors will interact electronically with participants, provide feedback, assess learning, and hold real‐time course meetings. The four courses will be offered through the UH Learning Management System (LMS) with asynchronous and synchronous interactive capabilities (e.g., audio files, video clips, and interactive images) and video/web‐conference tools for synchronous interaction. |
