Healthcare Leadership Certificate

The Bauer College of Business offers a university-issued certificate in healthcare leadership open to undergraduate business and non-business majors. The certificate provides undergraduate students of all majors with a possible interest in entering healthcare administrative positions with a greater knowledge and understanding of the complex and unique nature of healthcare leadership challenges. Coursework toward the track and certificate may be used to satisfy major, minor, or elective requirements when courses are appropriate to those requirements.

Requirements
To earn the university-issued certificate, students must complete the following course requirements: - MANA 4312 - Fundamentals of Healthcare Business Credit Hours: 3
6 credit hours of approved coursework relating to healthcare: - MANA 4372 - Healthcare Leadership Credit Hours: 3
- MANA 4382 - Healthcare Strategy Credit Hours: 3
- MANA 4396 - Management Internship Credit Hours: 3.0 (open only to business majors and must be an internship related to the healthcare industry; approval required by the Rockwell Care Center)
Management majors declare the track as part for declaring their major through the Office of Undergraduate Business Programs. Students of all majors apply for the certificate during their graduating semester through the Office of Undergraduate Business Programs. Coursework toward the track and certificate may be used to satisfy major, minor, or elective requirements when courses are appropriate to those requirements.
